Activites in Grand Cayman

Got a few extra days on the island? Not only is there great snorkeling all over the island, there are a few more must sees and dos on Grand Cayman:

Sting Ray City

Stingray City is among the Cayman Islands' most popular attractions . Stingray City is a group of sandbars located 25 miles off the shore of Grand Cayman, where you can snorkel alongside the majestic southern Atlantic stingrays in only three feet of water as you brush up against these creatures.

We recommend the 3-hour tour with Captain Marvin's (which picks up across the street from the Westin) but feel free to check out many other Stingray snorkel tours offered on the island.

Cayman Crystal Caves

Got enough beach? Try a hike!

Home to thousands of stalagmite and stalactite crystal structures, the Cayman Crystal Caves have formed over millions of years. Hundreds of years ago, Caribbean pirates even used these caves as shelters from hurricanes or hideouts from the law.

The caves are located on the Northside of Grand Cayman (-S0min drive from Seven Mile Beach) so you'll want to rent a car or find a tour that offers pick-up. Guided tours usually last 90 minutes and take you through the 3 caves and a nature hike through the surrounding tropical forests.

Discover SCUBA

If you're interested in this, call Red Sail (or another SCUBA company) to book time ASAP.

Feeling extra adventurous this week? Love that for you! Known for colorful reefs teeming with aquatic life, Grand Cayman is one of the top 10 destinations in the world for SCUBA diving. Discover SCUBA allows uncertified divers to take a 40 minute 'Resort Course' in the pool or shallow open water to familiarize yourself with the basics of underwater safety, equipment use, hand signals and dive physics. Once completed, you'll be able to go out for an open water dive fully supervised by a PADI professional as deep as 40ft!

We recommend Red Sail to book, but in case they are short on availability, call Cayman Turtle Divers or Cayman Diving as well.
